Christopher Durang, Oskar Eustis, John Kuntz, et al. to Participate in Modern Theatre’s Fall 2011 Season

Suffolk University’s Modern Theatre has announced programming for its Fall 2011 season.

Stafford Clark-Price, Ken Cheeseman, Michael Hammond, Jeremiah Kissel, John Kuntz, Dafydd ap Rees, Georgia Lyman, and Christopher James Webb will appear in Robert Brustein’s Mortal Terror, co-produced with Boston Playwright’s Theatre, September 15 – October 2. Daniela Varon will direct.

Additional performances will include sound artist Robert Hampson’s acclaimed project, Main, co-produced with Goethe-Institut Boston and Non-Event (October 15); director David R. Gammons’ production of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus (November 17-20); and Flamenco company Casa Patas (November 29).

The Modern Theatre’s conversation series will include appearances by Oskar Eustis and Jenny Gersten (September 23) and Christopher Durang (October 6), as well as a celebration of poet David Ferry. Oscar-nominated and Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker Frank Christopher will also appear in conversation as part of the Modern’s cinema series on October 25.
