North Shore Music Theatre Assets To Be Auctioned

The property and assets of the North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) will be auctioned off at an upcoming foreclosure auction, according to published reports.

NSMT closed in June due to mounting financial problems. Since then, the board of trustees has turned the theater’s property, including three buildings, as well as other assets, such as costumes, lighting and sound equipment, over to Citizens Bank, which is in the process of foreclosing on the theater’s two mortgages, which total about $5.2 million.

David Fellows, the theater’s former chairman, has said that four groups with theater backgrounds have expressed interest in buying the property and continuing to operate it as an arts center.
