New Repertory Theatre Announces 2008-2009 Season

New Repertory Theatre has announced its 2008-2009 season schedule.

The mainstage season will include Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, September 14-October 5, with Rick Lombardo at the helm; David R. Gammons will direct Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore, October 26-November 16; Lombardo will direct the John Kander-Fred Ebb favorite Cabaret, January 11-February 1, with musical direction by Todd C. Gordon; Exits and Entrances by Athol Fugard will play, February 22-March 15, with Chris Jorie at the helm; and Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters, translated by Curt Columbus, will also be directed by Lombardo, April 19-May 10.

New Repertory Theatre’s black box theater will feature Gutenberg! The Musical by Scott Brown and Anthony King, October 4-26, with direction and choreography by Stephen Nachamie, and Sam Shepard’s Fool For Love, March 14-April 5, will be directed by Bridget Kathleen O’Leary.

In related news, Lombardo will be leaving his post as Producing Artistic Director for the New Repertory Theatre to become the Artistic Director of San Jose Repertory Theatre, a LORT Theatre in the Bay Area.
