Michael Cavanaugh Set for Boston Pops on Nantucket Concert

Movin’ Out vocalist Michael Cavanaugh will join the conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra for the 16th annual Boston Pops on Nantucket concert on August 11 at Jetties Beach. The concert will benefit Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
Showtime for the concert is 7pm, with a fireworks display set for 9:05pm. Cavanaugh, who last joined the Boston Pops for their Nantucket concert in 2009, will perform the hits of Elton John.
Cavanaugh was handpicked by composer/lyricist Billy Joel to sing the lead vocals and play piano in the Broadway production of Movin’ Out, for which he received Grammy and Tony Award nominations.
