Matt Bailey, Joseph Leo Bwarie, Josh Franklin, Steve Gouveia to Star in Boston Engagement of Jersey Boys

Casting has been announced for the Boston engagement of Jersey Boys at the Citi Performing Arts Center in the Shubert Theatre, to run July 23-September 26. Des McAnuff directs.

The musical — written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe — tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi, and includes dozens of their popular hits including “Walk Like a Man,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

The cast is led by Matt Bailey (Tommy DeVito), Joseph Leo Bwarie (Frankie Valli), Josh Franklin (Bob Gaudio) and Steve Gouveia (Nick Massi) as The Four Seasons, with the cast also featuring Jonathan Hadley, Joseph Siravo, Christopher DeAngelis, Graham Fenton, John Gardiner, Buck Hujabre, Leo Huppert, Michelle Knight, Renée Marino, Brandon Matthieus, Denise Payne, Nathan Scherich, Brian Silverman, Courter Simmons, Ryan Strand, Katie Tomlinson, Kara Tremel, and Kevin Worley.

The creative team includes Howell Binkley (lighting design), Michael Clark (projection design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound design), Ron Melrose (musical direction), Steve Orich (orchestrations), Sergio Trujillo (choreography), and Klara Zieglerova (scenic design).
