Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, and Cherry Jones served as narrators at the Boston Pops' world premiere performance of The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of The Kennedy Brothers, at Symphony Hall in Boston on May 18.

Written by composer Peter Boyer and lyricist Lynn Ahrens, this new multi-media work combines quotes from speeches by brothers John, Robert, and Edward Kennedy, with original text and video, accompanied by a dramatic orchestral and choral score.

The piece also features the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, and is being recorded for later release.

The work will be repeated, with this cast, on May 19, at 8pm. As previously announced, there will be additional upcoming performances of The Dream Lives On featuring different narrators, including Alec Baldwin, Chris Cooper, and Will LeBow.
