Bryan Cranston, Cherry Jones, Patina Miller, and More Win Boston's 2014 IRNE Awards

The Independent Reviewers of New England have announced the winners of the 18th annual IRNE Awards, which were presented on April 7 and honored the greater Boston theater community.
Robert Schenkkan's drama All the Way, which ran at American Repertory Theater last fall and currently runs at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway, took the Best New Play — Large Theater Award, with star Bryan Cranston and director Bill Rauch taking home the Best Actor in a Play and Best Director honors. Dakin Matthews, who costarred with Cranston and now appears on Broadway in Rocky, received the Best Supporting Actor award.
John Tiffany's revival of The Glass Menagerie, which also ran at A.R.T. before moving to Broadway, took home awards for its stars Cherry Jones and Celia Keenan-Bolger. Diane Paulus' revival of Pippin, currently running at the Music Box Theatre, won awards for Paulus, choreographer Chet Walker, and stars Patina Miller and Andrea Martin. Usman Ally and Kevin Carolan received honors for their performances in The Jungle Book at Huntington Theatre Company. Denis O'Hare took home the Solo Performance award for the Arts Emerson production of his play An Iliad.
