Merrimack Repertory Theatre has announced casting for its production of Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten, in conjunction with Norfolk's Virginia Stage Company, where the show ran for three weeks earlier in 2009. The show will run April 23-May 17, with an opening on April 26. Edward Morgan will direct.

Set on a Connecticut farm in the 1920's, the play centers on two lost souls who come together for a touching encounter under a full in moon.

The cast will include Kate Udall (Josie Hogan), Michael Canavan (James Tyrone), Gordon Joseph Weiss (Phil Hogan), Karl Baker Olson (Mike Hogan), and John Kooi (T. Stedman Harder). The creative team will include Bill Clarke (scenic design), Jeni Schaefer (costume design), Beverly Emmons (lighting design), and Michael Boso (sound design).
