Full Cast, Creative Team Set for SpeakEasy’s Jerry Springer — The Opera

The full cast and creative team is set for SpeakEasy Stage Company’s production of Jerry Springer — The Opera, to play The Nancy & Edward Roberts Studio Theatre in the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, May 1-30. Paul Daigneault will direct.

The show, which has music by Richard Thomas, and book and lyrics by Thomas and Stewart Lee, is inspired by Springer’s television talk show. It is the only work in history to earn “Best Musical” honors from all the major British award groups, including the Olivier Award, Critic’s Circle Award, Evening Standard Award, and Whatsonstage.com Award for Best Musical.

Michael Fennimore will star as Jerry Springer, with the cast also including Amelia Broome, Kerry A. Dowling, Luke Grooms, Joelle Lurie, Brian Richard Robinson, Timothy John Smith, Jared Troilo, Ariana Valdes, and Wesley Thomas.

The creative team will include Dan Rodriguez (musical director), David Connolly (choreographer), Eric Levenson (set), Seth Bodie (costumes), Karen Perlow (lighting), and Aaron Mack (sound).
