Foothills Theatre to Close Following Production of Doubt

Foothills Theatre Company, in Worcester, Massachusetts, will suspend operations following its current production of Doubt.

A press statement cites that the closure is due to the current economic climate in conjunction with longstanding debt, competition for entertainment dollars, and the imminent reconstruction of Citysquare which would have forced the theater to temporarily relocate.

The company will be unable to complete its 2008-2009 season, and it’s previously announced production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown has been canceled. Ticket holders to that production should contact the box office at 508-754-4018.
