Huntington to Present Quick-Change Artist Ennio Marchetto

Huntington Theatre Company will present the Internationally-acclaimed quick-change artist Ennio Marchetto in his one-man show Ennio! at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, May 13-June 1.

Using elaborate paper costumes and origami techniques, Marchetto will impersonate over 50 celebrities and pop culture icons including Marilyn Monroe, Celine Dion, Eminem, Madonna, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, the Mona Lisa, and Sting.

Marchetto and his creative partner, costume and fashion designer Sosthen Hennekam, have incorporated origami-style folding techniques and paper props to transition seamlessly from one character to the next. The show has been nominated for London’s Laurence Oliver Award and a Drama Desk Award, and won California’s Garland Award.
