Tommy Tune to Receive 30th Anniversary Elliot Norton Lifetime Achievement Award

Tommy Tune will receive the 30th Anniversary Elliot Norton Lifetime Achievement Award, the Boston Theater Critics Association announced on Thursday, March 15.

The nine-time Tony Award-winner will perform during the awards ceremony, which will be held Monday, May 21 at the Paramount Center. Nominations will be announced on April 15.

Tune’s many credits include Seesaw, Nine, Grand Hotel, and My One and Only. The actor, director, and choreographer is also the recipient of eight Drama Desk Awards, two Obie Awards, two Fred Astaire Awards, the National Medal of the Arts, and has been designated as a Living Landmark by the New York Landmarks Conservancy.

The Elliot Norton Awards honor theater in the Greater Boston Area. This year’s selection committee includes Don Aucoin, Jared Bowen, Terry Byrne, Carolyn Clay, Nick Dussault, Iris Fanger, Joyce Kulhawik, Sandy MacDonald, Robert Nesti, Jenna Scherer, and Ed Siegel.
