Diane Paulus to Direct Pippin at A.R.T.

Diane Paulus will direct the musical Pippin as part of American Repertory Theater‘s 2012-2013 season. Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) will choreograph. Performances will begin in December at the Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, with specific dates to be announced.

Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Roger O. Hirson, the musical features such classic songs as “Corner of the Sky,” “Magic To Do,” “l Guess I’ll Miss The Man,” “Glory,” “No Time at All,” “Morning Glow,” and “Love Song.”

Paulus is the Artistic Director at A.R.T. and is currently represented on Broadway by The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. She received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for her direction of the musical Hair.
