Lindsay Crouse, Karen MacDonald, Paula Plum, and More Set for Gloucester Stage’s 2009-2010 Season

Preliminary casting has been announced for Gloucester Stage’s 30th anniversary season, which will kick off with the musical You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, June 4-21. Based on Charles M. Schulz’s “Peanuts” comic strip, the tuner features book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, additional dialogue by Michael Mayer, and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. Scott LaFeber will direct, with the cast including Shelley Bolman.

Neil Simon’s The Last of the Red Hot Lovers (July 2-19) will be directed by David Zoffoli and feature Karen MacDonald. The New England premiere of David Hare’s The Breath of Life (July 23-August 2) will be directed by Eric C. Engel, and star Elliot Award winners Nancy E. Carroll and Paula Plum.

Edward Albee’s Tony Award-winning drama, The Goat: Or, Who Is Sylvia? (August 6-23) will be directed by Eric C. Engel, and feature Academy Award nominee Lindsay Crouse and Elliot Award winner Robert Pemberton. Robert Walsh will star in the New England premiere of Sins of the Mother (August 27-September 13), written and directed by Israel Horovitz.
