Sean Kazarian, Emily Rose Ehlinger to Star in Shakespeare & Company’s Macbeth Tour

The Lenox, Massachusetts-based Shakespeare & Company has announced casting for its production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, which will tour to over 50 schools and theaters throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey from February 13-May 4.

The 90-minute, six-actor production will feature Sean Kazarian in the title role, Emily Rose Ehlinger as Lady Macbeth, and Caroline Calkins, Thomas Randle, Douglas Seldin, and Alex Stewart. Jonathan Croy directs the production, and has designed its set and lighting. Govane Lohbauer designs costumes, with sound by Michael Pfeiffer.

Now in its 31st year, the annual New England Tour of Shakespeare is one of the company’s longest running education programs, reaching over 25,000 students and teachers every year. The tour is supported by a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts through Arts Midwest, the program administrator for the NEA’s national Shakespeare in American Communities initiative.

The general public is invited to attend matinee performances on March 2, March 23 and April 27 at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, and on March 22 at the Academy of Music in Northampton. The public is also invited to performances on March 6, March 7 and April 20 at Shakespeare and Company’s Founders’ Theatre.
