Paula Langton and Karen MacDonald to Star in A.R.T.’s Trojan Barbie

The American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.) has announced casting for the world premiere of Christine Evans’s new play Trojan Barbie, to play the Zero Arrow Theatre March 28-April 22. Carmel O’Reilly will direct.

The show is a reimagining of Euripides’ Trojan Women with a most unlikely heroine who always looks on the bright side even as past and present collide about her. The production will star Karen MacDonald as Lotte and Paula Langton as Hecuba, with Emily Alpren as Clea, Renzo Ampuero as Mica/Jorge, Kaaron Briscoe as Polly X, Carl Foreman as Talthybius/Max, Nina Kassa as Cassandra, Careena Melia as Helen, Skye Noel as Andromache, Lisette Silva as Esme, and James Senti as Menelaus.

The creative team will include David Reynoso (set and costumes), Justin Townsend (lighting), and David Remedios (sound).
