Jersey Boys Extends Boston Engagement Through September 26

The national tour of the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys has extended its Boston engagement at the Citi Performing Arts Center in the Shubert Theatre, and will now begin performances on July 23, closing on September 26, as opposed to the previously announced August 30. As with the Broadway production, Des McAnuff directs.

The musical tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, and includes dozens of their popular hits including “Walk Like a Man,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

The creative team includes Howell Binkley (lighting design), Michael Clark (projection design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound design), Ron Melrose (musical direction), Steve Orich (orchestrations), Sergio Trujillo (choreography), and Klara Zieglerova (scenic design).
