Edward Herrmann and Jay O. Sanders to Headline Huntington’s Two Men of Florence

Tony Award winner Edward Herrmann will play Pope Urban VIII and Drama Desk Award winner Jay O. Sanders will play Galileo in the American premiere of Richard N. Goodwin’s drama Two Men of Florence, to play Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company, March 6-April 5. The production, which will open officially on March 11, will be directed by Edward Hall. The play was previously presented in England under the title The Hinge of the World.

The cast will also include Diego Arciniegas, Dermot Crowley, Joe Curnutte, Nat DeWolf, Jeremiah Kissel, Andy Paris, Molly Schreiber, Joel Rainwater, and Peter Van Wagner.

The creative team includes Francis O’Connor (sets and costumes), Ben Omerod (lighting), Matt McKenzie (sound), and Simon Slator (music composition). Hall is best known as the artistic director of Propeller Theatre Company, whose productions have included acclaimed revival of The Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
