Casts Announced for NSMT’s Goodnight Moon and Frog and Toad

Full casting has been announced for North Shore Music Theater’s (NSMT) award-winning Youth Performance Academy’s productions of Goodnight Moon, to be presented March 22, and A Year with Frog and Toad, to be held April 12. All performances will be on the mainstage at North Shore Music Theatre.

Margaret Wise Brown’s classic bedtime tale, Goodnight Moon is re-created as a new musical which features a young bunny preparing for — or attempting to postpone — his own bedtime. He says goodnight to every object in sight and within earshot, from the “quiet old lady whispering hush” to all the familiar things in the softly lit room. Myvonwynn Hopton will direct.

The cast, featuring students ages 9 to 18, will include Bernie Baldassaro, Jessica Barstis, Adam Brody, Alexis DiGregorio, Kara Doherty, Meghan Dwinell, Carly Grayson, Katherine Hall, Melissa Hollis, Alex Mangos, Andrew Murdock, Hannah Owens, DJ Plunkett, Rachel Rikeman, Simone Senibaldi, Channing Shippen, and Alex Staub.

A Year with Frog and Toad is a musical based on the award-winning books by Arnold Lobel. Tried and true friends Frog and Toad navigate through an adventure-filled year and are joined by some colorful companions along the way as they ponder being alone, bathing suits and spoiling Christmas. Toby Schine will direct.

The cast will include Alexandra Berube, Brian Dillon, Tasia Kendall, Mary Janus, Evelyn Lebel, Katie LeMark, Brendan Leonard, Kyle McAdam, Claudia and Jake Namaroff, Alex Newell, Jake Pension, Andy Porterfield, Joanna Rosen, Ashley Ryan, Futaba Shioda, Nicole Soriano, and Alex Staub.
