Cambridge's American Repertory Theater Announces Cast and Creative Team for Witness Uganda

Tony-winning director Diane Paulus helms the world premiere musical.

American Repertory Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the upcoming world premiere of Witness Uganda, set to run at the Loeb Drama Center from February 4-March 16.

Created by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, Witness Uganda follows a young New York City man named Griffin who volunteers for a project in Uganda. Inspired by a true story, the new musical addresses the challenges confronted by American aid workers around the world.

Tony Award winner and A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus (Pippin) directs a cast featuring Griffin Matthews (Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope) as Griffin, Tyrone Davis Jr. (Shrek The Musical national tour) as Ronny, Emma Hunton (Rent) as Ryan, Michael Luwoye as Jacob, Kristolyn Lloyd (The Bold and the Beautiful) as Grace, Nicolette Robinson (Hart of Dixie) as Eden, Adeola Role as Joy, and Jamar Williams as Ibrahim, along with Melody Betts, Rodrick Covington, Kevin Curtis, LaTrisa Harper, Aisha Jackson, and Jamard Richardson.

The design team includes set designer Tom Pye, costume designer ESosa, lighting designer Maruti Evans, sound designer Jonathan Deans, and video designer Peter Nigrini.
