Boston Children's Theatre has announced casting for the world premiere production of Calvin's Monster, to be presented February 4-12 at the Roberts Studio Theatre. Executive Artistic Director Burgess Clark will direct.

With a musical score by Jessie Soursourian and Austin Davy, Calvin's Monster follows the adventures of 8-year old Calvin and his school librarian as he turns to her for help in understanding how to overcome his fears. By enlisting the help of beloved fairy tale characters, Calvin realizes that he's not alone and that everyone has obstacles to overcome.

The cast will feature Boston actress Shana Dirik (Mrs. Knowley) as well as 12 local actors between the ages of 12 and 19, including Natalie Vatcher (Rapunzel), Alex Aroyan (Dragon), Kristina Kastrine (Snow White), Rachel Padell (Cinderella), Kevin Paquette (Wolf), Paige Vigneron (Swing), Colin Budzyna (Calvin), Alex Levy (Jack), Nolan Murphy (Peter Pan), and Emily Pinto (Little Red Riding Hood).
