Wiley and the Hairy Man, a magical coming-of-age story by Suzan Zeder, is set in the moist swamps of southern Louisiana. As the author says, "it's about the fun of a boy and his dog, the fun of words and how they wind into rhymes, and the fun of how a boy discovers that he is bigger than his fears."
