WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Hard up for cash, unscrupulous Falstaff hatches a cockamamie plan that can't possibly backfire -- to cuckold Windsor's wealthy husbands and get his mitts on their money. But when the ladies turn the tables on him, his silver tongue and grand girth get caught in web of slapstick payback. This is the screwball comedy that remains the mother of them all. The Merry Wives of Windsor is Shakespeare at his wittiest, dishing up eccentricities, cross-dressing and racy malapropisms in the human comedy we call life.
