Williamstown Theatre Festival Announces New Coffee-Table Book

The Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the publication of Many Stages, a coffee-table book looking back on the festival’s 60 years. Subtitled A Portrait of Williamstown Theatre Festival/The First 60 Years: 1954-2014, the book was written by WTF veterans Juliet Flynt, Steve Lawson, and Joan Zegras and also includes contributions from many festival regulars.

The 350-page book forgoes a typical chronological history, instead delivering an impressionistic vision of a festival still in progress. In addition to quotes from interviews and accompanying text, there are over 900 photographs, sketches, and posters.

Founded in 1955, Williamstown Theatre Festival designs each of its seasons to present unique opportunities for artists and audience alike. The company also provides a training program in which emerging theater talents collaborate with accomplished mentors.
