Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater will perform in Shakespeare & Company's special staged reading of Shakespeare's Richard III. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 2pm in the Tina Packer Playhouse and will benefit the company's performance, training, and education programs.

Rabe will portray Queen Elizabeth, opposite Linklater in the title role. Directed by co-artistic director Jonathan Croy, the reading will also feature Tina Packer (Queen Margaret), Annette Miller (Duchess of Gloucester), and other special guests.

Rabe and Linklater recently completed their run in the Shakespeare in the Park production of Cymbeline at the Delacorte Theater. Rabe was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance opposite Al Pacino in The Merchant of Venice on Broadway, while Linklater, son of Company founding member Kristin Linklater, made his first theatrical appearance onstage at Shakespeare & Company. He made his Broadway debut in Seminar in 2011 and earned Drama Desk nominations for his performances in Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night.

"We are delighted to welcome Hamish back to our stage – and to welcome Lily for the first time for this special production," said Croy. "In addition to these special guests, two leading members of the Company – Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer and Annette Miller – will be playing pivotal roles."
