Barrington Stage Company has announced that it will extend its engagement of Mark St. Germain’s new play, Freud’s Last Session, which will return to BSC’s Stage 2 theater, September 23-October 4.

Tyler Marchant directs the play, which centers on a meeting between Sigmund Freud (Martin Rayner) and C.S. Lewis (Mark H. Dold). The creative team includes Brian Prather (scenic design), Mark Mariani (costume design), Clifton Taylor (lighting design), Beth Lake (sound design).

The production played to sold out performances earlier this summer, June 11-July 3. It then returned August 14-September 6, replacing the previously announced BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab presentation of I’ll Be Damned.
