Haidle, Willimon, Wilson, et al. Set for Williamstown Reading Series

The Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced five of its six selections for its Fridays @ 3 reading series, to be held July 4-August 8 at the Paresky Center at Williams College.

The series begins on July 4 with Charles Evered’s screenplay for The Science of Hitting about a Boston Red Sox fan on an unusual cross-country mission. It will continue with John Shea’s Claire Silva (July 11), about a neighborhood and family thrown into turmoil by a convicted child molester; Beau Willimon’s War Story (July 18) about an army truck driver in Iraq and an enterprising young businessman; Noah Haidle’s What Is the Cause of Thunder? (July 25), about a soap actress actress beginning to confuse art and life; and Tracey Scott Wilson’s The Good Negro (August 8), about the 1960s civil rights movement.
