Barrington Stage Announces Casting for Surviving the Avalanche: The Songs of Jeremy Desmon & Vadim Feichtner

Casting has been announced for Barrington Stage Company’s Musical Theatre Lab’s two performance presentation of Surviving the Avalanche: The Songs of Jeremy Desmon & Vadim Feichtner, to be offered Saturday, June 11 at 8pm and Sunday, June 12 at 3pm at BSC Stage 2. Matt Castle will serve as director and musical director for the piece.

The show will feature Miguel Cervantes, Andrew Kober, Dana Steingold, and Cassie Wooley.

Desmon has contributed to the musicals The Girl in the Frame, I See London, I See France: The Underwear Musical, and If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, as well as the web comedy series Man of the People: The Only Recently Discovered Secret Political Recordings of Acting Mayor Francis “Woody” Woodson. In addition, he has received the Edward Kleban Award for Musical Theatre Bookwriting as well as a Jonathan Larson Fellowship from the Dramatists Guild for his work as a lyricist.

Feichtner has contributed music to William Finn’s Songs of Innocence and Experience and written the incidental music for the NY Public Theater’s production of As You Like It in Central Park. In addition, he has served as musical director/conductor/dance arranger for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
