Shakespeare & Company Announces 2010-2011 Season

Shakespeare & Company has announced selections for its 2010-2011 Fall & Winter performance season, under the artistic direction of Tony Simotes.

Jonathan Croy will direct Tom Stoppard’s The Real Inspector Hound (September 18-November 7), with the cast including Croy, Josh Aaron McCabe, Ryan Winkles, Dana Harrison, David Joseph, Daniel Kurtz, Alexandra Lincoln, Meg O’Connor, Scott Renzoni, and Enrico Spada. Peter Davenport will star in David Sedaris’ The Santaland Diaries (December 2-30), directed by Tony Simotes. Kevin G. Coleman will direct Charles Ludlam’s The Mystery of Irma Vep (February 4-March 27), starring Josh Aaron McCabe and Ryan Winkles.

In addition, the company’s Annual Fall Gala will be held on Saturday, October 9. The Fall Festival of Shakespeare, performed by students, will be presented November 18 – 21. Tod Randolph will helm Shakespeare’s As You Like It (December 10 and 11), featuring young actors in S&Co.’s training program.

Finally, Shakespeare and the Language that Shaped a World, written by Kevin G. Coleman and directed by Jenna Ware, will tour Middle and Elementary schools throughout the northeast in the early spring of 2011 and will play a series of special presentations in April.
