Jenny Allen will perform her acclaimed solo show, I Got Sick Then I Got Better at Berkshire Theatre Festival’s Unicorn Theatre for three performances over the Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 at 8pm and May 28 at 2pm and 8pm. James Lapine and Darren Katz have directed the production.

The play is an account of the writer/performer’s battle with ovarian cancer. Allen is best known as a journalist, with her essays and reviews appearing in such publications as The New York Times, New York Magazine, Vogue, Esquire, and Good Housekeeping. She is the author of a collection of fables for grown-ups called The Long Chalkboard, illustrated by her husband, Jules Feiffer.
