Tony Award winner Mary Louise Wilson will join the previously announced Jayne Atkinson, Richard Easton, and Michael Gill in the Berkshire Theatre Festival production of The Guardsman, to run July 13-31 on the theater’s Main Stage. Tony Award winner John Rando will direct.

In Ferenc Molnr’s farce, an actor decides to test his wife’s fidelity by putting on a character, but his charade grows more and more complicated as he realizes that the Guardsman is a harder role to tackle than he ever could have imagined. The cast will also include Stephen DeRosa and Tara Franklin.

Wilson, who will play the role of Mama, won the Tony for her work in Grey Gardens, with additional Broadway credits including The Women, Cabaret, The Odd Couple, The Philadelphia Story, Gypsy, and Promises, Promises.
