Christopher Fitzgerald, Judy Gold, Jessica Hecht, Campbell Scott, et al. Set for Williamstown Theatre Festival

The Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced five of the eight productions that it will present during its 2010 summer season.

The mainstage season will open on June 30 with a production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, starring Christopher Fitzgerald and directed by Jessica Stone. Also scheduled for the theater’s mainstage is Thornton Wilder’s Our Town (July 28 – August 8), starring Becky Ann Baker, Dylan Baker, Jessica Hecht, and Campbell Scott. Nicholas Martin will direct the production. The Williamstown mainstage season will include two other productions which will be announced shortly.

The theater’s season on the Nikos Stage will include Judy Gold’s new show It’s Jewdy’s Show (June 23 – July 4), which will be directed by Amanda Charlton. Also scheduled for the Nikos are Amy Herzog’s After the Revolution and Mat Smart’s Samuel J. and K., as well as one production to be announced at a later date.
