Jayne Atkinson, Richard Easton, Randy Harrison, et al. Set for Berkshire Theatre Festival’s 2010 Season

Jayne Atkinson, Brandy Caldwell, David Chandler, Jeremy Davidson, Richard Easton, Michel Gill, Randy Harrison, Keira Naughton, and C.J. Wilson are among the actors who will be appearing in the 2010 season of the Berkshire Theatre Festival, based in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The Mainstage season will open with Jason Robert Brown’s musical The Last Five Years (June 22-July 10), directed by Anders Cato. Ferenc Molnr’s The Guardsman (July 13-31) will be directed by John Rando and feature Atkinson, Easton, and Gill. Shakespeare’s Macbeth (August 3-14) will be directed by Eric Hill, and feature Caldwell, Davidson, Naughton, and Wilson. The Mainstage season will conclude with Edward Albee’s A Delicate Balance (August 17-September 4), directed by David Auburn.

The Unicorn Theatre season will open with K2 (June 17-July 3), by Patrick Meyers, and directed by Wes Grantom. Samuel Beckett’s Endgame (July 6-24) will be directed by Hill and feature Chandler and Harrison. The Richard Rodgers-Lorenz Hart-George Oppenheimer musical Babes in Arms (July 27-August 28) will be directed by E. Gray Simons III. Kyle Fabel will direct William Donnelly’s No Wake (September 1-October 24), as the season closer.

Special Events will include a Friday Series (June 18-August 60, featuring staged readings of new and classic works; Story Time (August 6-27), written and conceived by Tom Story; a Theatre for Young Audiences production of Mystery Sideshow 4 The Great Beyond (July 7-31), by E. Gray Simons III, and directed by Travis G. Daly; a fifth annual community production to be announced (September 10 – 18); and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (December 11-30), adapted by Eric Hill, and directed by Hill and E. Gray Simons III.
