Christopher Innvar to Direct Lord of the Flies at Barrington Stage; Updates to Season Announced

Christopher Innvar will direct the New England premiere of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, October 5 – 23.

This coming-of-age adventure story begins with a group of English school boys stranded on an island and ends with them as savages, playing life and death games.

In related news, Barrington Stage’s mainstage production of Guys and Dolls , directed by John Rando, will now run June 15 – July 16, while its Stage 2 production of Going to St. Ives, directed by Tyler Marchant will now run June 22 – July 10.

The previously reported 2011 mainstage season will also include Mark St. Germain’s The Best of Enemies (July 21-August 6) and the musical The Game (August 11-28), while the Stage 2 season also features Jim Brochu’s Zero Hour (May 18 – June 5).
