WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Zachary Scott Theatre Center presents the premiere of Keepin' It Weird, written and directed by Dave Steakley. Spamarama, the 37th Street holiday extravaganza, pig art cars, Eeyore's Birthday, Dopey the goat, the Commander in Coif, and our own little sweet transvestite and mayoral candidate Leslie Cochran are certainly keepin' Austin weird! The dialogue in ZACH's original play about the home of the Armadillo comes direct from 200 interviews with Austin notables and our beloved weirdoes. ZACH has uncovered stories and secrets - including one about Austin's sacred salamanders - that are so uniquely Austin, we couldn't have made them up!
