Brian Crawley and Andrew Lippa’s A Little Princess to Be Streamed Live and Receive CD Release

A new concert version of the musical A Little Princess, featuring book and lyrics by Brian Crawley and music by Andrew Lippa, will premiere at Texas State University in San Marcos, October 16-19. The final performance on October 19 will be live streamed on the web for audiences across the country.

The concert will feature new material added since the musical’s world premiere production at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, CA in 2004, a 20- piece orchestra, and will be conducted by Lippa.The musical is based upon the 1905 children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Kaitlin Hopkins will direct, and play the role of Miss Minchin, while Jim Price will be performing the role of Captain Crewe. The rest of the roles will be played by students in the Musical Theatre program.
