Actor’s Express to Produce Atlanta Premiere of The Motherf**ker With the Hat

Atlanta’s Actor’s Express has added The Motherf**ker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis to its 2011-2012 season. The Tony Award-nominated play replaces the previously announced The Night of the Iguana by Tennessee Williams, and will run March 15-April 14. Freddie Ashley will direct.

The Motherf**ker with the Hat centers on Veronica and Jackie, who have been in love since 8th grade. Jackie, out on parole, is newly sober. Veronica is anything but. When Jackie finds a mysteriously placed man’s hat in Veronica’s apartment, he suspects that she is having an affair – and the emotional cage match begins.

Actor’s Express will honor their patrons’ Iguana tickets (both subscription and individuals tickets) for performances of The Motherf**ker with the Hat. As well, Theater Emory will honor Actor’s Express subscriber tickets and individual tickets to their production of The Night of the Iguana, which will run at Theater Emory from April 5 to April 15.
