Jasmine Guy, Keith Randolph Smith et al. Set for Alliance Theatre’s God of Carnage

Jasmine Guy will head the cast of The Alliance Theatre production of Yasmina Reza’s Tony Award-winning play, God of Carnage, according to published reports. Kent Gash will direct the production, which will run January 11-29.

The play focuses on two couples who meet to discuss a playground fight between their two sons.

The all-African-American cast will also star Keith Randolph Smith, Crystal Fox, and Geoffrey Darnell Williams.

On Broadway, Guy has been seen in The Wiz, Leader of the Pack, Grease and Chicago. The actress is perhaps best known, though, as Whitley Gilbert on A Different World. Among her other television and film credits are The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Touched By An Angel, The Vampire Diaries, Harlem Nights, and School Daze.
