Six Characters in Search of an Author, the most famous drama of Luigi Pirandello, is one of the most important plays of the last century. A group of actors is preparing to rehearse, but they are interrupted by the unexpected arrival of nameless characters, who complain that the writer did not finish their story. The play within a play ultimately questions the reality and the art of illusion -- even when encountering matters of life and death.
