Judge Margaret Turner provides a good home for her younger sister, Susan; and enjoys the fawning admiration of Tommy Chamberlain, the love-struck Assistant District Attorney. She also has a problem in the form of Richard Nugent--artist, playboy and incipient menace to her well-ordered world. Things really get tense when Susan gets a teenage crush on Richard, who soon finds himself headed to jail. Margaret's Uncle Matthew Beemish, a rather bemused psychiatrist, comes up with a solution to all their problems: Margaret offers Richard a choice--jail or be Susan's beau. He accepts the latter, with reluctance, and off we go on a round of hilarious adventure.
