Based on Molière's Les Fourberies de Scapin, Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale's breezy adaptation takes place in a manic dockside café in Naples. When two men fall in love with women not quite up to their fathers' standards, they turn to Scapino for assistance. But the servant Scapino is too clever to do things in any traditional way, and plots and ploys pile up faster than the café's flying pasta in this madcap commedia dell'arte romp which features everything from improv to a lively song with lyrics pulled right from the menu of an Italian restaurant.
