Mary, Mary is a humorous, entertaining valentine about a marriage that has foundered -although maybe not for too long. Mary and Bob, a young couple whose divorce is about to become final, have yet to rediscover their true feelings for one another. Self-doubting Mary covers up her insecurities with clever talk and contrary humor. Meanwhile, her clueless and sensible ex-husband has become engaged to Tiffany, a health-obsessed heiress. Mary's confidence begins to pick up when Dirk, a movie-star pal of Bob's, arrives on the scene and recognizes her feminine attributes. Also in the mix is a lawyer friend who's on hand to straighten out the couple's tax returns. Hopefully, a few lives will be straightened out as well.
