WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The place is Versailles. The time, 1774-1793 during the French Revolution. The characters are Marie Antoinette, her female portraitist and the aristocratic cad who came between them. This compelling drama by Joel Gross traces the beautiful and multi-dimensional Queen from her youthful and heady excesses to her ultimate, vulnerable reality.
