Federico Moreno Torroba's 1932 zarzuela (a Spanish musical that blends the brilliance of Broadway with the passion of opera) is filled with romance, comedy and stirring music, all set against the backdrop of the 1868 popular uprising against the Queen of Spain. Performed in Spanish with English supertitles.
