WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Based on his own letters, Exhausted Paint explores van Gogh's desperate struggle to connect; to mean something. At once tender, vehement, funny and heart-breaking, Exhausted Paint examines a man who was more than a severed ear, challenging everything we think we know about him. Never the same twice, chance decides the sequence of scenes, mirroring Vincent's unpredictable, disordered life--relived here by one actor.
This show contains violence, drugs and drinking.

RE:Exhausted Paint: The Death of Van Gogh!
A creative script and masterful acting make this one of the most powerful performances I have ever seen. It would have been far easier to appeal to our dark and prurient interests by focusing only on Van Goghs self mutilation, relationships with prostitutes, and eventual suicide, but instead, this show puts them in the context of his real life transitions between manic genius and overwhelming depression. Shawn Boyds extraordinary portrayal of Van Gogh so captivated the audience, that many of us were left asking where he will be performing next.
