David M. Maslow, producing artistic director of Open Stage Theatre, has resigned from his post, according to a report in the Pittsburgh City Paper. Maslow's departure follows the announcement that the theater's board had opted to give up the group's long-time home and put the theater on a six-month hiatus.
Maslow had been head of Open Stage for the past two seasons. During his tenure, the company produced works such as Suzan-Lori Parks' The America Play , Nilaja Sun's No Child... and the premiere of Disinfecting Edwin, by locally-based playwright Amy Hartman.
