Frances Sternhagen to Appear at Vassar College

The play recounts Bishop's 20-year South American sojourn in Brazil, where she bears witness to the enormous upheaval and reform in the country. The reading will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Sternhagen.
Sternhagen won Tony Awards for The Good Doctor and The Heiress. Her many other Broadway credits include Edward Albee's Seascape, Steel Magnolias, Morning's at Seven, and On Golden Pond. She is a Vassar alumna, and the recipient of the college's 2009 Distinguished Achievement Award.
