Opera legend Placido Domingo will play the title role in Opera Orchestra of New York's presentation of Giuseppe Verdi's Simon Boccanegra, at Avery Fisher Hall on Wednesday, March 7 at 8pm. Alberto Veronesi will conduct.

The piece deals with power, treachery and the unbreakable bonds of family. The cast will also feature Ana Maria Martinez (Amelia), Massimo Giordanov (Gabriele Adorno), Giacomo Prestia (Jacopo Fiesco), and Marco Caria (Paolo Albiani).
